I have not been able to continue on the “How to Promote CPA Offers” series. Nevertheless will now be able to spend some time completing the series. I will get into the details on both white hat & black hat techniques. Remember, I will share the black hat techniques only for educational purposes. I do not endorse or use any such techniques. These will get you banned from the CPA networks.

Till now we have seen how to choose offers, how to do your keyword research, now will show you some methods of generating traffic for your offers.

Generating traffic for CPA offers

The most important question that you need to ask yourself is how do you intend to promote the offer. Do you want to build a landing page for the offer or do you want to use direct linking? Normally I use direct linking first to evaluate if the offer has any chance of making money. If not why should I spend money & efforts in creating landing page & buying domain. But thats only my way. You can still choose to get a domain & build a landing page. With a landing page for the offer, you will need to work on preselling the customer else you may end up losing conversions.

As you know, you can generate traffic faster using PPC than with SEO. With SEO you get all the free traffic due to organic search but the entire process is too tedious & takes lot of patience & time. If you are restricted on your budget but can spend time on SEO, than you should concentrate on SEO & get your site ranked in organic searches. The PPC campaigns will only add to the traffic.

The CPA offers can be promoted using polls or surveys, Facebook marketing, direct linking, PPV, media buying or the newest twitter marketing. The best way of getting some free traffic to your offers is social bookmarking & article marketing.

Social Bookmarking

If you have created a landing page for your offer, you should definitely bookmark it on various social bookmarking sites. Do not worry about whether the site has high PR or not. Even without high PR some of the sites are able to send you good amount of visitors. The objective is to get free traffic & not build PR for your site. You can use some free bookmarking sites like http://www.socialposter.com or http://www.socialmarker.com. These sites will allow you to post your bookmarks to multiple sites by filling in the details once. Alternatively you may also choose to manually bookmark your pages from your accounts. But you have to be careful in doing such bookmarking. If you bookmark only your site pages, you account will be soon flagged for spam. So carefully mix your pages with other authoriy site links.

Sidenote: Traffic Bug also offers a good service on automatic bookmarking, RSS submission & directory submissions. The most important advantage that you get with Traffic bug is you do not have to create any accounts with any bookmarking service. Traffic bug automatically creates the accounts & submits it slowly over a period of time thus ensuring your pages are not flagged as spam. The service is a nice way of building links to your site for free traffic.

Article submissions

Bum marketing or article marketing is one of the easiest way of generating traffic. There are tons of articles out there which teach you effective bum marketing. With article marketing you do have to spend some time writing the articles. You can also get your article writing outsourced. You can look at services offered on popular webmaster forums for content writing.

With article submission you get two links per article back you to your site. If you do not want to create a full fledged website you can do a domain redirect to the CPA offer. Domain redirect is very easy with most of the domain regsitrars. If I were promoting offer on dental white, I would book a domain www.quickteethwhitening.com & redirect it to my CPA offer. Then I can link this domain in the resource box of my article. You should always use a rotator with such redirectsto identify the best performing offer.
