If you have a blog or a site then you must be aware of that Search engines loves blogs & sites that are constantly updated. Some of us (including me) are very lazy when it comes to updating the blogs.

I have also been looking for some automated way to import my blog posts directly from a data dump to wordpress. Those who use Shareasale must be aware that you are able to get a datafeed from Shareasale. This datafeed contains the entire merchant information that you can use in your blog posts and promote the merchant to make some extra money. But then going through the shareasale datafeed and creating blog posts from the data feeds is very tiresome.

Luckily I found a fantastic plugin which allows you to import posts directly from a CSV file. The CSV2Post plugin provided by Zach is an excellent way to automate your postings. The cool little plugin allows to import directly from a pipe seperated CSV file.

The UPCSV plugin is also a similar plugin which is targeted specifically to the merchant datafeeds. The UPCSV plugin will automatically create posts from datafeeds from various merchants and currently supports datafeeds from Commission junction, Affiliate future & affiliate Window. One of the issues I saw with this plugin was, the plugin is not intergrated with the admin section on wordpress and you will be not be able to use this plugin from the wordpress dashboard.

The only drawback I found with the CSV2POST plugin was that this plugin does not support tags (atleast when I checked it). this issue was rectified by the plugin provided by CSV import to wordpress. The author of this plugin has modified the CSV2POST plugin to include full tag support. With this enhanced plugin you should be able to add multiple tags to your posts.
